Apurva Saraf is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cosette Pharmaceuticals. Since joining Cosette in 2020, he has led the company through a period of significant growth and transformation, expanding and diversifying its portfolio and strengthening Cosette’s position as a fully integrated U.S. specialty pharmaceutical company. Apurva brings more than 25 years of experience across the pharmaceutical industry, spanning global corporate strategy, commercial and operational excellence and M&A. Under his leadership, Cosette has significantly expanded its branded pharmaceutical portfolio through a combination of acquisitions, licensing, partnerships and organic growth, while continuing to invest in its manufacturing and operational capabilities.
Prior to joining Cosette, Apurva was a member of the executive leadership team at Amneal Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: AMRX), where he was responsible for global corporate development and strategic growth initiatives. During his tenure at Amneal, he also co-founded Gemini Laboratories, an endocrinology-focused specialty pharmaceutical company. Apurva began his career on Wall Street as an equity research analyst with UBS, JPMorgan and Credit Suisse in New York, covering the U.S. specialty and generic pharmaceutical sectors. His combination of operating, investing and transaction experience has shaped his approach to building and growing pharmaceutical businesses.
Apurva was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2023 (New Jersey) and was recognized as CEO of the Year by Avista Healthcare Partners in 2023 and 2024.
He earned an MBA in Finance from Baruch College in New York and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bombay.
